Info on our live music nights:

Dazed is run as an in-house Live Music night,  organised and run by the Dazed team consisting of Andy Ventham, Ben Squire, Jenna Skinner, Steve Pascoe and Tom Bullivant and Craig Wilson as MC.  It is run as frequently as possible on a Thursday, usually weekly.

Equipment:
We have an in house Vocal PA for use on the nights, which includes 4 Mics, Mixer, Monitors, PA Speakers, Amps and a long snake to make everything easier to connect.

Costs / Entry:
The Hatchet makes no money from the night other than bar sales, Door entry is charged at £3 NUS / Flyer and £4 for everyone else, the money taken is split between the bands that play on the night to help them cover the costs of travelling etc.  Please note that the Hatchet is an over 18s only venue, this applies to Customers, Band Members and everyone else, whether they are planning to consume alcohol or not

Hire / Booking:
if you are in a band or manage a band, and would like to enquire or make a booking to play one of our live music nights, please email dazed@thehatchet.co.uk with some contact details and if possible a Myspace / Facebook address for the band or a link to where we can listen to a quick demo.  Don't forget to include a contact number (preferably mobile) so that we can contact you on the night.  We try to book as early in advance as possible so that we can advertise effectively and arrange to have the nights listed in online gig guides and the local press.
We have no budget for booking bands, so please bear this in mind when contacting us, we are only able to offer an equal share of the door takings, of which the hatchet or the Dazed team do NOT take a percentage.

Advertising:
We make every effort to advertise the night as far in advance as effectivly possible, this includes posters around the pub detailing the bands and band websites, genre of music etc,  Flyers handed out and in the bar area in advance, listing the gigs on online gig guides including: Gigwise, Itchy Bristol, Ents24, Gigguide.co.uk, Bristollivebands.com,  National gig Guide.  We also arrange to have the gigs listed in the local press, namely Bristol Evening post and Venue Magazine.  We also create events on Facebook and Myspace and invite our massive and growing network of friends.
We do expect that the bands will also advertise their own gigs on Facebook / Myspace and around their local area as the more people attracted to their gigs the more money they get at the end of the night.
